Antonio Possenti exhibition
Today
I went to ''Pallazzo Pitti '' to meet the galleries and check an exhibition
that presents thirteen masterpieces that belongs to the Museum D' Orsay from
Paris. These works were impressionists and among the painters were Monet ,
Renoir and Degas . I don't even need to say that it was wonderful , I loved .
But there was an exhibition that surprised me even more from an artist called
Antonio Possenti . I was walking through the palace and suddenly I ran into
this room full of works from this artist, I was curious so I decided to check
it out. The exhibition is called ''Della magia e dello stupore’’(Magic and
Wonder) and it's really magical and wonderfull, magical
even in the meaning of a ''spell''. It may seems strange but only those who
entered that room know what I mean. At least that's what I felt . His works
surprised me, the colors vibrates and leads our eyes to it, the drawings,
mostly of fish or beings linked to the water, were mad and full of meaning. For
a minute , when I was looking at a painting I thought about Salvador Dalì and
then wondered why. The answer I got was that the Antonio's art seemed to
represent the oneiric's universe because it reminded me of the confusions and
wonders of a dream. Antonio Possenti was born in 1933 here in Tuscany, Lucca .
